The first meeting of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber of its Eighteenth Session was held on Monday 5 March 2018 at the headquarters of the Chamber. The meeting resulted in the election of Abdulhakeem bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi as a Chairman, Bader Sulaiman Al-Rizea and Hamad Mohammad Al-Boali as Vice-Chairmen, and Nasser Al-Ansari as the Chamber's representative to the Council of Saudi Chambers.
Abdul Hakim Al-Ammar in his speech stressed that he and the new Board of Directors are determined to complete the process of participation in sustainable economic development in the region. He added that Asharqia Chamber would continue its role as a model for providing distinctive and innovative services that meet the aspirations of businessmen and businesswomen in the Eastern Region, which in turn contributes to the broad participation of the business sector in the structure of the national economy.
Al-Ammar stated, "We are continuing to support the objectives of the vision of the Kingdom 2030 through contributing to the creation of an economic environment conducive to business, and empowering the economic establishments of all kinds in the various governorates of the region." He pointed out that Asharqia Chamber (since its launch for more than sixty years) is taking concrete steps in strengthening the national economy in accordance with the vision and strategy of leadership and excellence in the interests of the business sector.
He emphasized his and the new Board of Directors' commitments to work on the continuation of the Chamber's progress and excellence at all levels.
In addition, the Chamber would continue in working with members of the Executive Branch to complete the journey of the former boards in serving the national economy, and achieve the aspirations of the participants of business men and women.
